Saturday 2nd August
At night I had a very bad sleep. My balcony is oriented to a very busy street, something like a highway. Combined with the nearby airport it secures neverending noise. Despite this I woke up at 9am. I bought some basic food at the Brasil market (2x3euro, I went there twice because I forgot something)
At lunch time we set for a canteen, but in contrast to all proclamations it was (and was going to be closed) on Saturdays and Sundays. So I bought bread and cucumber in Modelo (1,50 euro, our favourite supermarket) and made the first photo of our group, which was not complete yet.
In the afternoon we went to the beach Costa da Caparica. The journey by the underground and then by bus took about 1 hour. I bought a one week underground ticket (4,80 euro), bus costs 2x1,95 euro. The ocean is very cold, but is possible to stay in for a while:-). There is a soft sand on the beach and it is very hot. We go back home at about 9pm.
In the evening we go for a dinner to the "Rodizio Restaurant" at Campo Pequeno. We eat strange sea creatures, vegetables, fried "things" etc. (for me 5,48 euro). Very entertaining was also the local musician with his keyboard and guitar full of Latin American hits. Then I go to bed, the others continue somewhere to a disco discotheque. Radim sleeps in Marketa's place so I have my room on my own.
