Friday 15th August

Journey to GuinchoAfter breakfast I went to Cascais with Artur. Going by train from Cais do Sodre takes about 30-40 minutes. We visited the town center and walked to the citadel (some kind of a fortress) where we enjoy playing with military equipment. It is very funny because all pieces of artillery can be moved and turned around and look like ready to shoot:-) Then we rent bicycles and head west towards Guincho. The bikes are for free, we only have to show our passports.A short break at Boca do Inferno (mouth of hell), but the ocean is quite and we can only imagine the sound and visual effects of waves hitting the rocks we read about in the tour guide. Then we continue towards Guincho. Guincho is a large beach with relatively few people. The ocean is very cold and waves very big. There is quite a strong wind, so one doesn't realise that his skin is getting sunburnt... (like a lobster as Apo said:-)) After 1 or 2 hours we go back to Cascais. We return our bikes, watch the St. Marie's mass and split. I lay in the park on the grass, watch people and at 6 pm walk along the coast to Estoril (about 3km). The only interesting thing in Estoril is the Casino. At 7:07 pm I take train to Lisbon.

I go shopping - bread and 200g (duzentos grammas) of salami

Dinner with Chang and Roman: pasta ("propellers") with tuna fish and corn.

Tomorrow there wil be a trip to Evora. I am full of expectations whether it will be possible to see the megalits.

It was relatively cold today (25 degC) and we had a light rain in the evening.)
